Digital Reasoning Attracts Seasoned Technology Executives To Fuel Expansion
Poised for growth in Financial Services, the company opens NYC office and grows workforce 60% Year-over-Year

Nashville, July 10, 2013 – Digital Reasoning, the company that enables automated understanding of human communications, today announced the addition of two seasoned enterprise software executives to its team. Following several years of growth, including a 60% year-over-year increase in the size of its workforce and the opening of offices in New York City and Washington, D.C., Digital Reasoning is pleased to welcome Marten den Haring and Stephen Epstein.

As Digital Reasoning expands the reach of Synthesys–its machine learning platform for analyzing human generated data–into the commercial sector, the company is strengthening its executive line-up with two seasoned technology execs to shape its product strategy and go-to-market execution.

Joining as Digital Reasoning’s Senior Vice President of Products, Marten den Haring will lead product strategy, management and marketing as well as develop the company’s strategic alliances. Marten was previously VP Information Discovery and Analytics at OpenText responsible for solutions covering data integration, enterprise search, text analytics and eDiscovery. With more than 15 years experience in enterprise software as EVP Products at Nstein Technologies in Montreal, Canada and several senior management positions within Oracle’s Middleware division at Oracle headquarters in Silicon Valley, Marten is moving to Digital Reasoning’s headquarters in Nashville, Tennessee with his wife and two daughters.

In addition, Stephen Epstein is joining Digital Reasoning’s leadership team as Vice President of Product Marketing. Most recently, Stephen was VP and CMO at Avistar Communications and Head of Governance Risk and Compliance Product Management at Mantas, which was acquired by Oracle in 2006. With more than 20 years experience in various IT roles at large financial institutions, Stephen will be based in New York City where he currently resides with his wife and two sons.

“Marten and Stephen bring incredible expertise to our team at precisely the right time—as we are scaling the organization to serve a rapidly growing customer base,” said Rob Metcalf, President and Chief Operating Officer at Digital Reasoning. “We will build on our success in the national security arena to deliver high quality software solutions for compliance and risk management in Financial Services. The demand is strong for technology that analyzes electronic communications to improve the effectiveness of existing surveillance and investigative capabilities, and we have assembled a team capable of leading a new wave of innovation in the market.”
