New release of Digital Reasoning’s Machine Learning Platform leverages Cloudera Impala for real-time queries on Hadoop and for integration with 3rd party Business Intelligence tools
NASHVILLE, Tenn. January 29, 2014 – Digital Reasoning, a leader in cognitive computing, today announced General Availability of Synthesys® 3.8, the latest release of their patented machine learning platform.
Synthesys 3.8 includes the following enhancements for customers and partners:
- Automated Profile Generation: Synthesys automatically identifies and aggregates knowledge about People (date of birth, place of birth, spouse, employers, titles, etc.) and Organizations (child organizations, headquarters, members, date founded, founded by, etc.). These profiles are fundamental building blocks when gathering knowledge about the real world to make relevant predictions about future behavior of employees, customers or bad actors.
- Knowledge Visualization: Synthesys Glance™ is a new Web application optimized for mobile and tablet devices that enables analysts to interactively browse and analyze knowledge profiles of People and Organizations to discover valuable patterns and relationships that were previously difficult to detect in their data.
- Real-Time Query Processing: Synthesys response times are up to 30X faster when performing analysis on large data sets. Synthesys now provides real-time analysis via Cloudera Impala, the massively parallel processing (MPP) query engine that runs natively on Apache Hadoop. Impala enables interactive queries to data stored in HDFS and HBase without requiring data movement or transformation, providing out-of-the-box integration with leading BI tools via its SQL-compliant interface.
- Cloud Delivery: Synthesys is available as an Amazon Machine Image (AMI) that contains all the software necessary to run Synthesys on an Hadoop/HBase cluster under Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) making it easier than ever to unlock the value trapped inside your data.
